More about Angela Duncan-Thompson
- Prioritizing community needs, she along with others formed the Harbour View Socialist Youth Club. Her election as Chairman was notable, being one of only three female leaders among nearly fifty youth clubs in the Eastern Belt. This role led to connections with politicians, notably inspiring her meeting with the late, Rt Honourable Michael Manley.
- Returning to the UK in 1981 due to personal reasons, her political activity paused, but she continued activism through theatre, dance and carnival. She maintained a strong interest and involvement in the Jamaican community and eventually became a naturalised Jamaican.
- Currently, Angela is a semi-retired independent Creative Organizer of Carnival Arts, Voluntary Carnival Consultant, Social Entrepreneur, Freelance Artist, Event Organiser, Stewarding/Security Operative and a dedicated political advocate involved for Jamaican affairs.
- As an active member of PNPUK, she works to positively impact the Jamaican political landscape, serving Jamaica with integrity and love.
